“The unit i bought last summer worked well but this summer it doesnt work. Fan blows and compressor can be heard kicking in but the colling fins behind filter do not get cold and the exhaust is blowing slightly warm air but not the hot air expected”

I had already tried to check filters and exhaust. The problem is the cooling fins are not getting cold. The compressor is on (not just the fan) but it is as if i have lost charge of coolant. Is it possible to have a leak?
