Hi Jjm1274, thanks for reaching out to us and for your patience. We truly appreciate you considering this amazing garage ready chest freezer for your home and are happy to answer this for you! The running amps for this freezer is 1.2. We would recommend multiplying that by 2 to account for the surge or start-up amps that the freezer will draw when the compressor cycles on. It requires a 120-volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse on a dedicated circuit.
