You shouldn't season anything with a nonstick coating, and the griddle that comes with GE gas ranges has a nonstick coating. I don't know why yours would feel sticky, unless you have oil cooked onto it. Just cook with a little oil or butter like you would with any nonstick pan and you should be fine.

If necessary, scrub with a non-abrasive plastic pad. Do not clean the griddle in the self-clean cycle or in the dishwasher.
