“Paying extra for the power cord I'm having a hard time figuring out why I have to pay an extra $28 just so that I can plug the stove into the power outlet. I don't need a special connector or a long chord. This is like buying a car and having to pay extra for a steering wheel or a carburetor.”

This practice was eliminated many years ago since it is not possible to determine the type of facilities each consumer has available or what the local electrical codes require.
