Hey, Thanks so much for your question. Model PEM31DF1BB is still currently in production and is the model we recommend for replacement. This model has not yet been superseded. It will fit the same cutout space and trim kit. Professional installation is always recommended, but is not required. If you have any questions, let us know anytime. Mike@GEA
