The kit from your existing model is not compatible with the new microwave. You will also need the JX827SFSS built-in kit. If the kit to which you're referring is what allows you to suspend the microwave from your cabinet to save countertop space, we would recommend purchasing a new hanging kit as well. One is the PEM31DFWW which measures 12 1/8 H x 24 W x 12 7/8 D and as you can see the size of this microwave has changed somewhat over the years. We do not have information as to the compatibility of our models with other manufacturer's products. Our recommendation would be to remove the existing kit in order to obtain the actual opening available in your wall or cabinet and then check to see if there are available models that will fit that space. If you place this unit on your countertop or a small table where you have 3" air clearance on the left and right sides and at the top, as well as 1" clearance in the rear, does the intermittent operation continue to occur? If it doesn't, there's a possibility the microwave when installed in the previous manner may not have been getting adequate airflow which can result in the microwave shutting down.
