Hi there! Wonderful question. Yes, the doors and handles can be removed if need be. Steps on how to do so start on page 24 of your installation instructions. There are three similar models that are counter depth if you'd like to take a look! Those models are: PYE22KYNFS, PYE22PYNFS, PYD22KYNFS. We hope this helps and that you're staying safe. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can only answer based solely on how my delivery went. The delivery man had to remove the door by taking the hinge pins out. My door framing size opening was 36 inches. Once inside the house, he connected the new water line, plugged in the power cord, installed door handles, installed all shelves, drawers and removed plastic. There shouldn't be a problem enerting through a door that’s 36 inches or more open framed. The installation took about 45 minutes from removing the ole refrigerator to completing the new fridge installation.
