“I have an open cabinet shelf where I plan to install --- it will "look" built in but it won't be. Does this microwave have a plug? My shelf is 26 wide by 13.5 deep -- will this unit work? Height can be adjusted to accommodate 12 7/8 Thanks!”

Hi HappyCamper - PEM31SFSS is 12 1/8"H x 24"W x 12 7/8"D. It has a right-angle "flat" plug that comes out of the microwave at the top right corner in the rear. Also, microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. Allow 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the countertop or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
