We just replaced a GE Profile JEM31 with a GE Profile PEM31. The installer didn't think it would fit and just left the unit and trim kit w/ us and said 'good luck'. However, in our case the replacement unit and trim kit fits the cabinet nicely. We used the new hardware to create rails for the PEM31 and attached the rail guides to the microwave. Easy. The chrome-looking high-quality plastic trim front actually gets screwed into the wood cabinetry around the opening for the microwave. In other words the new unit sticks out further than the JEM31 did but in our case that's also no problem. I've never installed a microwave before but this just took a few minutes. Screws were included and the directions were clear. Attaching are photos of the finished product. Good luck!

Please try again later.The model I recently purchased at Bestbuy was PEM31SFSS with dimensions (W: 24in, H: 12.125in, D: 12.875in) This JEM31SF01 that you are referring to with dimensions (W: 23.88in, H: 11.19in, D: 12.28in). The height is about 1 in shorter in comparing to PEM31FSS model. However, I used to have GE Monogram ZEM200SF01 model with dimensions (W: 23.78in, H: 11.19in, D: 12.28in) which has almost the same dimensions as JEM31SF01. Now I have replaced it with PEM31SFSS from Bestbuy and it is fitted very well within the original cut out built-in my cabinet for the microwave. I also bought the trim kit JX827SFSS, and I only used the trim portion of the kit. Thanks.
