“I just got my combo! Couple of questions: Is it ok to use up my Tide he detergent in it, or do I need to buy the Tide he turbo right away? Also can I use an Affresh tablet when it’s time to run a cleaning cycle on the machine? Thanks for your help.”

you should be able to use whatever detergent you prefer to use. I do. as far as affresh tablet, i'm sure you can. i would follow directions for the tablet.

We recommend you use only liquid or powder HE detergents and additives in the dispenser drawer. If you are using laundry detergent packets, they should only be added directly to the wash basket following the manufacturer’s directions. GE Appliances does not make any recommendations for products to use to clean lime buildup specifically. Cleaning products like Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner, or others are effective at this since they advertise primarily “odor and residue” removal.
