It does stop after wash and before the dry cycle starts so you can open it and put a dryer sheet in.

HE detergents are low-sudsing and provide excellent wash performance with all water temperatures. Powder detergent can be used in the dispenser drawer and laundry sheets should be added to the load once the clothes have been added to the wash basket prior to starting the wash cycle.
