Thank you for your feedback. All Geeni devices are designed to work for 2.4 GHz networks for a wider range, unlike 5 GHz networks. If ever that your WiFi is set to 2.4 GHz already but still receiving that kind of error message, we would love to discuss it with you so we can check other solutions.
