I do not have a bird but do have one dog and one cat. My doctor recommended this brand. I have this brand in every room in the house. I only use the germ guardian “ HEPA filter” when it needs replaced. There is also a charcoal filter in front of the hepa filter and I vacuum it every couple of days. Yes, it does help with the pet dander. The first couple days I kept the UV light on constantly. After that I only use UV light in daytime.
