Using testufo's "Compare Frame Rates" test, and using a Dell S2721DGF 2K @ 60 Hz (normally 165 Hz), response time set to Extreme: UFO test: At 60 Hz, motion blur is obvious on both, but AERO 15 shows more detail with better contrast than the S2721 @ 60 Hz Ghosting: Ghosting is barely noticeable on AERO 15; most noticeable on lightest cyan, not noticeable at all on darkest cyan. Ghosting is more noticeable on S2721 @ 60 Hz, most noticeable on darkest cyan, least noticeable on lightest cyan. No visible ghosting on S2721 @ 165 Hz. Moving Photo: At 60 Hz, motion blur is obvious but as with UFO test, AERO 15 shows more detail and better contrast than S2721 @ 60 Hz; I can make out cross supports in window panes and almost make out some of the white lettering. At 165 Hz on the S2721 there is basically no motion blur and I can make out much more detail. For reference, I've also used a S3220DGF (165 Hz 32" 2K) and S2716DGR (144 Hz 27" 2K). The S3220DGF had unbearable motion blur and ridiculously long GtG times that made playing at even 144 Hz feel like playing at 60 Hz. The S2716 is on par with the S2721. In a direct 60 Hz comparison, the OLED panel on the AERO 15 is definitely the best out of all of these. As far as the ability to play at 4K 60 FPS on the AERO 15, the i7-11800H has strong performance both in single-core and multi-core workloads, so you are unlikely to be bottlenecked there, and the 3060 laptop GPU has around 300 more CUDA cores than the desktop version, so you'll probably be fine with most titles at medium to high settings. If you need extra performance, since the PPI is so high on the screen (most 15.6" laptops are only 1080p or 1440p), you can probably also just lower the resolution without seeing much of a difference visually.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What's true for a desktop is also true for a laptop and the way OLED screens are manufactured would make it a tad slower as well. Sorry. That's why they call this a "creator's" laptop.
