A:Answer When HDR is used, Windows HD Color needs to be enabled for it to work properly.
Windows operates in sRGB color space, which would be why you're seeing washed-out colors.
This, unfortunately, is the nature of HDR on Windows.
HDR content will look as it should but anything not optimized for that Rec. 2020 color space will look gray and unsaturated.
