Not unless you use another app. Once an app is linked to your chromecast it will play solely on that chromecast until you disconnect. A bypass with youtube for example is to get YTmusic app which just plays the music and not the videos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not believe this is possible. Even if you could, you wouldn't want to be sitting where you could hear both because they'd be terribly out of balance and probably out of sync. I'd suggest getting two chromecast units and setting them up as a group to do this. If you need it portable, put one on a pill speaker.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never tried this, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Once you start the chromecast audio streaming, it will play as long as you allow it to play.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that it is actually a WiFi receiver and analog out that is controlled by your smart phone. I tried the head phone jack and it does not output any music while the Chromecast is playing on a stereo. The smart phone controls it. It is not like a Blue tooth. You can make phone calls while the music plays. You can even turn your phone off and it will continue playing Pandora or other service on its own.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once you start a casting session the phone will NOT play music on itself.
