“Is it possible to hook this up to older speakers that don't have rca or aux inputs? If so, how? I have old speakers that connect with just bare speaker wires.”

There are cords available that with have RCA or Aux on one end and wires to connect on other.

Yes, you can connect the bare wires to a 3.5mm plug available at a lot of retailers. But the speakers will have to be powered, so if they do not have a built in power amp you will need one of those as well. May wind up being more of a hassle and costly to use them.

The CCA is a source and like any other source, CD player, tuner etc it must be connected to an amplifier or receiver. The amplifier or receive in turn is connected to and powers the speakers.

You can not. You must connect to powered speaker, such as a jam box or Bluetooth speaker that has an input jack.
