• For $35 it may be worth a shot but if you have USB in your car you probably have Bluetooth which is a simpler solution. If not, just plug your phone into the USB. Hope this helps.

• Technically you could, but you would be using data from your phone to run internet streaming apps. It might be easier to just use an aux cord from your phone to the car.

• It may be plausible. If your phone and the Chromecast are both on an existing network with the same IP address ranges, and connected to the internet.
