If you have the Chromecast app on your phone and stream it to the TV, it will display the movie on the TV and show the controls on your device. It will not play the movie on both at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does mirror my android phone screen. But the aspect ratio of my phone and my TV differ, so an edge gets cut off in landscape mode. In portrait mode the entire screen is seen, with two large black bands to either side where the TV screen is unused.

You might lose some quality though. I am not sure what happens to the image on the screen if the aspect ratios are not the same on your phone and TV.
