• Not for just the chrome cast. If you want netflix or Hulu yes but if you already have them then you don't need to put a credit card on file

• No credit card required for this device. it doesn't have any app's of its own. All the apps and browsers you will be using are on your smart phone, tablet, or computer. They connect wirelessly to the cromecast to stream onto your tv.
