• You would need a Chromecast device for each television that you would want to stream to and naming the devices accordingly, so you know which room you are streaming to. The other alternative is to move just one Chromecast around to each TV as needed. Before purchasing your device, please understand that this device is not an extension of your DVR through Directv. This will cast media from your phone, tablet, and/or computer.

• Unless there is an HDMI-In port on the DTV device, you will need a Chromecast dongle for each TV, to plug directly into a port.

• Chromecast is an additional input to the TV. It will not sync to DirecTV. You would need a Chromecast for each TV.

• As long the TV's are connected to the same network you can swap the Chromecast stick to every TV without run the setup wizard again

• I have been able to mirror cast some content from my phone, but only on android. Sometimes it does not work either though and I do not know why. The Chromecast was so cheap and reliable I went ahead and just got them for all my TVs even though I have the genie.

• you can't use it with directv dvd/genie. it is designed to connect a portable device or laptop to a tv

• Chromecast plugs into HDMI port of your TV. Genie doesn't have the capability to input HDMI, so you need one Chromecast per TV. However, if one of the TVs is primary, you can take the device to another (secondary) TV if you want to use it once in a while on that one. Installation, etc. are fairly quick.
