What kind of receiver do you have? You will need an HDMI capable receiver to be able to use the Chromecast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have all of my equipment (tv, cable dvr box, blu-ry, etc.) set up so all devices are run directly through my A/V receiver. All you need to do is plug the Chromecast device into an open HDMI in port on your receiver. Your projection tv should be hooked up to your receiver's output [HDMI or a combination of component video and digital audio out (coax or S/PDIF)]..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on your receiver. My receiver (Yamaha 673) has hdmi ports plus a usb power port so I connect the chromecast through the receiver (actually all of my devices connect to the receiver first and I only use 1 hdmi from the receiver to TV) If your receiver doesn't have an hdmi then hopefully your projection TV does have hdmi and also some type of audio out to plug in either an rca or 3mm audio out back to your receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You simply plug the Chromecast into an open HDMI input connection on the back of your AV receiver, just as you would with a DVD, game console, etc. using an HDMI cable. Then, just select that input and you're in business!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the projection TV doesn't have an HDMI port, you would need to purchase an HDMI converter to whatever input format your projection TV takes (RCA, etc)... then you'd plug the Chromecast dongle to the converter and plug the converter to your TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it has an HDMI port
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because there is no other sound sound output from Chromecast tha HDMI.... You can do 2 Thinks.... 1 Connect the Chromecast to projection and use projection audio output to go into receiver and get surround 2 Connect the chromecast to receiver if receiver hao 2 output 1 to tv one 2 projector. If is not but HDMI splitter probably around $20 connect the receiver output to splitter, now you will have 2 hdmi output.... 1 goes to tv the other goes to projection.... Enjoy
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will only plug in to a HDMI port. If you receiver has a HDMI in, you can use that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plug it into a spare input HDMI on the receiver. Should work fine when that input is selected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your receiver works as your main source input, connect the Chromecast to one of the HDMI input in your receiver. If your receiver does not have HDMI and your projector TV does, then connect it to the projector and us the TV Aux sound to connect it to the receiver Audio input using Stereo RCA, Coaxial, or Optical.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
