“Can I use security cameras outside in porch area covered ?”

• Yes. Nest cameras can be use outside with the purchase of the weather proof case and heat sheild which is sold separately. Keep in mind that the camera even if used outside still has to be within your wifi range. I have 5 installed outside my home with the proper protective cases and they operate just fine.

• Yes, they can be placed outside in a covered area. We've used them indoors and out and have had no issue with clarity and the resolution.

• yes, temperature extreme can cause delays or interference however with the picture quality according to the manufacturer.

• I have been for more than a year at my front porch with no issues. Winter gets a few cold nights in high 20 degrees. Summer gets few hot days in 100+ But not Extreme.

• I would recommend that you purchase an enclosure to protect the camera.

• yes - We have 2 of ours under the eaves of both the garage and house; one is under the back porch - just be sure to keep them protected from direct rain.

• yes - we've had one under our covered front door for a year with very few problems. Obviously it's best if the area is protected from weather since it's not designed to be outside, but we haven't had issues.

• Yes you can. I'd suggest buying an IP67 case that is sold on Amazon and other places specifically for the nest cam to make it waterproof
