on my one story ranch, similar to a bungalow, I placed three cameras under the eaves. One camera shooting across front entrance, one shooting along carport and parking area, and the third on rear of house shooting toward the back door. I used the activity zone, under settings, to eliminate the motion being seen from the street on my front entrance camera.
