on my one story ranch, similar to a bungalow, I placed three cameras under the eaves. One camera shooting across front entrance, one shooting along carport and parking area, and the third on rear of house shooting toward the back door. I used the activity zone, under settings, to eliminate the motion being seen from the street on my front entrance camera.

You can always turn that feature off in the Nest app, but it's the only camera system that does this which to me is amazing to track someone approaching your house.
