Yes, there is a battery that can be charged when the fixture is on as well. Right now, I have two sets of lights on the same power line. So when I switch on the power, both the old and new flood light will turn on. I will need to replace my old flood light bulbs with smart ones to keep the line on.

Please try again later. The new Nest Cam (battery) has been designed with versatility in mind, it’s an outdoor/indoor battery powered device out of the box, and can be used with a set of various power accessories. While the Nest Cam (Battery) has a built-in rechargeable 6 Ah, 3.65V lithium-ion battery, it can be hooked to the Nest Floodlight for continuous power. The new Nest Cam with Floodlight is designed to replace your existing floodlight with a wired connection of 100-240 volts AC, 50-60 Hertz.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Flood Light Camera is the same as the New Nest outdoor Battery Camera. The camera plugs into the flood light mount with a magnetic port underneath the camera. The battery will power the camera if your electricity goes out. The attached pictures aren't mine but they will hopefully help you understand my description.
