“Is there an on-going cost after the initial installation ? I have the nest cameras and have to pay an annual fee to nest for cloud storage if i want the cameras to save recordings. Was just wondering if the thermostat has some sort of on-going fee.”

There is no ongoing fee for using the Nest Thermostat. The only "cost" would be to have a wireless network in your home, but assuming you have that already - no additional cost.

No ongoing cost except for your usual data /wifi plan and your usual cell phone. Nothing to Nest company required
