“I have a Hot water Heating system for heat. I have a AC unit for cooling. I have one thermostat that controls both. Does the nest have the ability to do that?”

Nest controls both heating and cooling temps. It is designed to replace most normal thermostats.

Yes... once you install and go through the settings it will ask you the type of cooling and or heating you use.

If your current thermostat controls both heating and cooling, the Nest will handle both. Only issue is if your current thermostat is a high voltage one. If it is, the Nest will not work. Check their website which will help you determine if your current system is high or low voltage. Nest only works on low voltage systems.

It has many wire options. I posted a pic, I’m sure it will work. And at set up it asks you what kind of heat it is.
