We lost power for some time during a storm. while we were on vacation, WiFi reset, but not the Nest. I had to have a neighbor go in and reset Nest to WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. As long as the router that the nest is connected to doesn't lose power the nest will be connected to it. If the router turns off then the nest will not be connected and cannot be remotely managed. It requires an internet connection to be managed. You can still walk up to it and change the settings. Loss of power to router mean instantaneous connection loss with the nest to the internet. No way to remotely connect with no wifi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Without wifi, you can only manipulate nest manually. Trust me, we live in Florida and just had a power outage. Thankfully we were able to control the temp manually after accessing the home screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if the nest and your HVAC unit is also on backup power. Easy to test though. Flip the breaker on your HVAC, that should turn off the power to the Nest.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No . It works only with the internet not with the wifi signal only
