• Up to a year depending if you utilize the motion nightlight option. The batteries are AA lithium style. You could use AA rechargeable if you have.

• I have only had mine for about a month so I cannot say how long the battery will last. They are not rechargeable, but you prob can use a good pair such as eneloops. You can make it last longer if you disable to night light.

• The batteries are not rechargeable. When it is time to replace, you will remove the nest protect from the backplate and push the battery door button in the direction of the arrow. You will need 6 AA batteries
