Yes, this product can be used with rechargeable batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are two types, one with in internal battery and another that can be hard wired to your electrical system. I would assume you could use rechargeable batteries in the battery model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nest doesn't recommend any batteries other than the exact type it comes with. The battery life is multiple years, however. It does a countdown starting 6 months out from needing replacement, to give you the idea of scale. It wouldn't be cost effective to use rechargeables even if they worked.
