Hi Pixel, You do not lose anything significant with the unlocked version of the Pixel 8 Pro when using it on Verizon. The unlocked version supports all of the major 5G and LTE frequency bands used by Verizon, including mmWave. This means that you will be able to get good coverage and performance, including access to Verizon's fastest 5G speeds. However, there are a few minor differences between the unlocked and carrier-locked versions of the Pixel 8 Pro. For example, the unlocked version may not come with pre-installed carrier apps, and you may need to contact Verizon manually to set up certain features, such as visual voicemail. Overall, the unlocked version of the Pixel 8 Pro is a good choice for users like you or me who want the flexibility to switch carriers in the future. It also supports all of the major features that Verizon offers, including mmWave 5G. I hope this info helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't lose anything in regards to hardware or software but you typically get a better rebate from Verizon if it's locked to their network if that's who you intend to use for your carrier. I use both Mint (T-Mobile) and US Mobile (Verizon) on my unlocked Pixel 7 Pro, neither of whom I'd be able to use if it were locked to any of the big three carriers
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Verizon and Unlocked are the same model. Last year I bought the Unlocked Pixel 7 Pro from Best Buy and its Model GE2AE with 5G mmWave + Sub 6GHz. If you get a Pixel 8 Pro, make sure its Model G1MNW that has 5G mmWave.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't lose anything. It'll be the same phone. Not sure about the mmWave support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unlocked phones meaning phones with full potential, no limitations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't lose anything and if you travel internationally it's better not to stick to a carrier. Verizon will give you a better deal on paper but they give that rebate over 3 years. If you want to switch in between you have to pay the remaining amount in full.
