Q: QuestionIf the unlocked phone you buy from Best Buy has issues or stops working for whatever reason, your cell phone carrier( ex:Verizon, T-Mobile,AT&T etc) doesn't want to help you with it because you bought it at an outside store, right? What about insurance?

• A:Answer My cell phone company US Cellular actually helped me to get my text messages to be received by my phone. The representatives spent a significant amount of time trying to diagnose the problem, And eventually it only needed the sim card to be removed and reinserted to correct the problem. I also buy unlocked phones from places like Best Buy and put a good case on it and a screen protector. Don't bother to give a cell phone carrier a significant amount of money for insurance. Save yourself even more money than buying your phone from your carrier and being locked into their plans!

• A:Answer Yes, we have a Pixel 7a and a Pixel 8a on Consumer Cellular. Both are using e-Sim instead of a traditional Sim card. We were able to complete the setup before we left Best Buy.

• A:Answer I do not believe you can use your Galaxy watch on the Pixel phones due to them being locked to Galaxy phones. The Galaxy Buds should be able to work, but not every feature they provide may be there, due to them being made for use on the Galaxy Lineup

• A:Answer They are usually new devices that were returned for some reason. We bought a "good" condition Pixel phone years ago and it was perfect except for one or two very, very light scratches near the upper left corner of the screen. That being said, I would want to see the device before I accepted it.

• A:Answer StraightTalk seems to run on Verizon's network. I have had multiple PIxel phones (3a XL and 7 Pro) on Verizon that have worked well, so I would expect the Pixel 8a to work fine on Verizon's network. I would choose the physical SIM over the eSIM if there is a choice, but that's just me.
