Yes. This WiFi is capable of up to 1.2 Gbps data transfer speed, the rest is dependent on you internet service provider.

If you are paying from Gigabit speeds, the Google Mesh Router WiFi system is capable of those speeds.
You will need to connect the Google Mesh Primary Router directly to the LAN port on your cable modem.
At Gigabit speeds your Ethernet cabling (including patch cables) will need to be CAT-6.
The Google Mesh system cannot "boost" speeds to a rate that is higher than the plan you are paying for.

1 mbs is pretty slow. Our spectrum spped is 300 mbs down and 11 mbs up.
the Google Mesh units simply make this speed available throughout your home.
