that was our situation. If your Spectrum box is one unit, a modem and router combined, you need to have spectrum replace this with 2 units. a modem and a router. they will do this for free. or you can go there and do this. You need to keep the Spectrum modem. The Spectrum router will be replaced by one of the Google Mesh units. Then buy the 3 unit Google mesh router package. One mesh unit will replace the spectrum router and will be connected with ethernet cable to the spectrum modem. The other 2 mesh units can be located anywhere in your home. and they need electric power only. They are WIFI, They do not need ethernet connections. One replaced the Spectrum router
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Rachel, I had a similar issue but with ship-lap. The great thing about a Mesh network is that you plug one into your modem and place the other ones in other rooms and it will piggyback signal from one device to another. I have a 2600 square foot house and the 3 pack does a great job covering it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see any reason to replace the Spectrum modem. I don't think that will help the situation. Sounds like the Modem is fine. But I would buy Google mesh to better distribute the wireless system throughout your home. The WiFi Google Mesh does a great job in my home of better distributing around my home so that I can connect any device at any point in my house. You may want to get the three pack and play around with placement until you're seeing the kind of performance you want. some buildings are more stubborn than others, but Google WiFi is the best i've seen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can just buy a wifi extender. They’re around $40 in any best buy. They work great. Plug it in far enough away so it’ll reach the room but close enough to where it will reach the router signal
