Yes, the HERO7 Silver is great for these types of recordings. GoPro cameras are designed to keep everything in focus, including objects that are nearer and further away in the same shot. As long as the nearest object is about 6 inches or so away from the lens, it'll all be in focus. Plus, with a GoPro, you can adjust the width of your shot from a normal view to a wide angle view if you want to show more of the area you're working on.
