Hello there - When using the soap function, the black 75-degree tip is necessary for the right amount of air and soap mixture to allow the soap tank to expel soap into the water line and mix. If you have not changed the tip, the other tips will not allow for this. This tip expels soap and water as low-pressure high volume to coat your surfaces prior to rinsing with a high-pressure tip. The soap tank will only release if you use the black soap nozzle. If you add any other nozzle or a high-pressure soap applicator the soap tank will not be activated.
