Hi budd. Thank you for your interest. Soap will only be dispensed when liquid pressure washer soap is in the soap tank, and the short black soap nozzle is attached. The pressure washer has sensors that detect when the soap nozzle is attached to the wand, and then the soap will be mixed with the water. When the trigger is pulled, the soapy water will come out at a low pressure. We hope this information helped!
