“I actually have 2 questions. (1.) Is it true the cord is only 1 foot in length? A review I read on another site stated that. (2.) I have read reviews saying the opener puts metal fragments into the food. Is that true?”

Thank you for your questions. The power cord for this can opener is approximately 2 feet (24 inches). If used correctly, this appliance will not yield metal fragments into the food.
