• My daughter used it via Bluetooth on her MacBook Air. If your iMac has Bluetooth it should work

• The device has an aux plug is so as long as your plugging it in through the aux then you should be fine.

• This speaker is blu tooth only so you can't plug it in. If you have a Bluetooth device, it is deffinately a great buy.

• You would need wireless speakers still, but if you plugged this receiver into your headset jack, you would transmit sound through any Bluetooth speaker set up.
