It comes with a AC cord to charge and go or you can use while its charging. There is an optional docking station you can purchase to leave on a desk or shelf for quick charge mounting.

Yes, you can leave it plugged in all the time (but the documentation recommends that you don't leave it plugged in if you plan not use it for long periods.

This comes with an AC power cord so you can use that to charge, or in my case this became my permanent desktop speaker so I use the AC cord and leave it plugged in all the time.
So yes, either is doable.

you charge the speaker with the power cord it comes with and if you are listening to the speaker at a medium level, it should give you about 5hrs of play.

1. I don't think the rechargeable battery is designed as user replaceable. But there's a youtube video showing the interior of the speaker, and a brief glimpse of the battery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmlsIbVc7Kw.
2. It does come with an AC adapter and cord to connect the speaker directly to the power source. That's how you power the speaker and/or recharge the internal battery.

The unit comes with a power chord. My device is always plugged in unless I want it to be portable.

I can't answer question about replacing the battery since my unit is only a couple of months old an I haven't had to cross that bridge.
