Yes. You can check the output resolution while playing a YouTube video. Click "up" and choose "More Options" > "Stats for Nerds".

Depending on what you will most likely be viewing its best to choose the highest setting you can watch, as it will override things and step down to the next lower if excessive buffering is detected. I leave it at true 4k and find it in the moment anywhere. I have never checked and it wasnt doing a good job selecting the right option. either that was the best it had available or you would be miserable waiting while it overclosks its processor and cache. It can and does handle 4k like a champ. If you dont have a 50mb connection with low utilization i would bother. Finally getting my hands of full feature 4k and seeing movies 65GB and games over 200GB most people will consume in one movie what they had the entire month. looks amazing but ISPs will need to be ready if most decide the improvements are worth the wait and buying huge volumes of storage.
