• No, the Google Home nor the Mini will take the place of You Tube since they don't have a screen.

• If you have a Google mini you need a chrome cast hooked to your TV in order for you to command it to play for instance Netflix your get on YouTube. Don't forget you need WIFI for this to work with the chrome cast. Hopefully that helps.
