If you have the samsung hub it may be able to control the tv, but all other stuff you can train it to control. I use with nest and hue lighting.

Yes, with Chromecast you can turn it off or on and control volume. Not sure about changing channels

I think it should. I have a Sony Smart TV and it is able to easily switch on/off my TV on command. I am also able to play videos on YouTube without any issues. If your Samsung TV has Android OS that should work perfectly fine. Not too sure about other Smart TV operating systems though.

Yes it can if you purchase a Chromecast device and enable anynet+ on the tv
