No there is not an on/off switch for the device. To turn off your google home, you will half to unplug it from the device

No. But there is a switch to turn on/off the mic. Other than that you need to unplug it to turn it off.

No. That's kind of the point, and you're either ok with that, or you're not. You can always put it on a switched outlet.

It’s just silent and when you command it responds. No off and on switch. It has to be plugged in at all times though and have access to WiFi.
