It is very easy to setup with the Google home app. So far it plays music I have on my phone and Google play. I have subscription to amazon music and you yube music. Both play just fine.

No, the device does not require a subscription for those services.

Hi, this is very easy to set up with your wifi. No subscription is needed to answer questions. You'll need to link a music service in order to play music, but there are several free ones - Pandora, Spotify, etc.

To play music you will need an account to the specific service you are trying to recieve. Such as Spotify - I have a premium account and thus I do pay for this. Alternatively, I also use Iheartradio, and Pandora free services. They just require an account but service is free!

Setup was very easy with my android S8+. literally only took about 2 minutes to have the device setup and online. Although, connecting all my SMART devices to the hub took a little bit of time to find the Google Home linked app and login. Mostly just remembering my user/pass for each of those accounts.
