Its a smart speaker with the Google assistant. You can say "Hey Google, whats the weather today?". It will reply with the weather forecast. You can ask any question google can answer from its database.

Google Home can control what you want to hear when you ask it to “Change a song” or ask “Please remind me that I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 8.” It’s pretty much like Siri but twice as better. I have the Google Chromecast connected with the Google Home Mini and it works wonders. I can control my shows, videos, games, and streaming music with just my voice. It’s really handy!
