• Yes because it has a water pump and the water pump will be strained. If the water pump breaks you will have one very expensive fan. The water tank only needs filled once a day when on medium- so just make that a habit. For winter storage we do empty ours so there will be no molding. Storing dry does not hurt it because it is unplugged and OFF.
