• Thank you for your inquiry. This unit will capture pet hair and dander from the air that passes through the filters. However, this will not get rid of the source, and will not pick up any hair and dander that has already landed on a surface. It will reduce the allergens in the air, but will not eliminate the possibility for the allergies to be triggered. • hard to say but this is a smaller unit. I think something larger would be better.
