• Yes. To me it sounds like a low level white noise machine. Every now and then it will also make a gurgle sound as air enters the water tank for the displaced water.

• I have mine on every night. Mine is very quiet I don't hear any noise from it.

• Yes, but not very loud. It is lower than most fans on low speed.
