Can I increase ram to 8gb? null

Unless you can choose an 8GB model, the answer is no. Not only is the laptop shell difficult to open, the RAM is soldered to the motherboard because of cost, therefore it is not upgradable.

The RAM on this Chromebook is onboard and not upgradable.
